A BIZARRE video shows a “Scottish Karate Kid” kick out a ceiling light – because pals told him the trick was impossible.
The unnamed Scot, who has a T-shirt tied around his head, leaps into the air and kicks his leg above his head.
The bulb, about 8ft above floor height, can be heard cracking as the entire room is thrown into darkness.
Connor McSorley captured the clip on Monday in Paisley, Renfrewshire, and uploaded the footage to twitter.
The seven-second-clip, which has been viewed over 49,000 times, was posted with the caption: ”No f****** way.”
The clip begins with the Scot standing in a bedroom in the town’s Gallowhill estate.
Wearing an Adidas top and blue jeans, he also has a blue t-shirt wrapped around his head.
The lad braces himself, bends down to get momentum, throws his hands in the air and kicks his leg up in the air.
His foot instantly connects with the light bulb – eliciting a gasp from a woman in the room as the bulb sparks and makes a loud cracking noise.
It seems the gymnastics are not entirely appreciated as a woman can be heard saying: “You’re a f****** w*** – what was the need of that?”
Speaking today, Connor revealed his friend’s motivation. He said: “Folk said he was not able to do it.”
Connor confirmed: “Yeah, it smashed.”
Asked about his pal’s choice of head gear, he said: “There was no reason for the T-shirt on his head.”
On social media, Liam MacGregor said: “Class that.”
PodreySanchez added: “Great technique.”
Cal Tolson joked: “Scottish Karate Kid.”
While Ross Buchanan said simply: “Amazing.”
