Student’s Tinder Powerpoint proves the swipe right stuff

A STUDENT’S ingenious idea to put a Powerpoint presentation on his Tinder profile has taken the internet by storm.

Sam Dixey, 21, decided to take a different approach to online dating by creating a bespoke presentation telling girls why they should “swipe right”.

The Leeds University student has a slide detailing his hobbies – with illustrations – as “laser tag”, “dad jokes” and “petting doggos”.

Another screen, listing his notable skills, includes “knowing all the rules to drinking games”, “not the worst at sex” and “owning a Netflix account”.

And while “death by Powerpoint” is feared in offices and classrooms up and down the land, Sam says putting a presentation on Tinder has resuled in a “noticeable” increase in matches.

On social media, one fan joked: “If he’s not getting sh****d there’s something wrong.”

Sam’s profile came to light after Gracie Barrow posted screenshots with the caption: “A genuine 10/10 effort from this lad. I’m crying.”

The post now has a staggering 86,000 likes and 19,000 retweets, with plenty of social media users saying they would swipe right for Sam.

Sam’s profile begins with a slide titled “Why you should swipe Right. A presentation by Sam.”

The next slide lists things the 21-year-old enjoys doing, including “Long walks on the beach”, “Talking about my feelings” and “Dominos”.

The student then goes on to detail his “Other notable qualities and skills” which include being “not the worst at sex”, being “generous when drunk”, and that his “friends say I’m funny”.

The bold lad even went so far as to include a review section on his slideshow – with recommendations from Donald Trump, Leonardo Di Capri Sun and even his Dad.

On social media, Brooke Callander commented: “I’d swipe right just for the presentation skills.”

Amy added: “I’d swipe right purely for the amount of effort that he put into this. Love.”

Mary O’Gorman said simply: “This is brilliant.”

While Abby J.M Oliveria added: “Sam is destined for greatness.”

Speaking today, Sam said: “It initially just started off as a bit of a joke with my mate that I worked with doing an internship year out of university. We thought it would be funny to do, something a little bit different.

“From there on in, it seemed to be working pretty well, so just left it and made a few tweaks here and then.

“It’s quite noticeable the different number of matches. Even if it’s just people swiping to say ‘I just had to swipe to tell you how amazing it is that you have a Tinder PowerPoint’.”

Sam also said that he couldn’t believe the reaction his profile had on Twitter. He added: “It was a reaction of shock and laughter. I’d just been playing football and came back to my phone with a load of messages saying ‘have you seen this?’ and tagging me in it.”
