A CAR ended up on its roof on the busy A82 near Glasgow as a result of this morning’s atrocious weather.
Witnesses said the vehicle tried to change lanes but as a result of the build-up of snow hit the safety barrier and then flipped over.
A picture taken by Scott Biggart, 27, was driving behind, shows the vehicle lying sideways across the carriageway with extensive damage to its roof.
Luckily, the driver appeared to escape without serious injury following the crash on the westbound dual carriageway near Dumbarton, West Dunbartonshire.
Scott said: “He was driving in front of me but I couldn’t see much because of the snow.
“He went onto the other lane, which everyone avoided due to the build up of snow, lost control and hit the central barrier and up he went.
“I think the wind must have caught the underneath of the car and flipped it. Landed straight on the roof. Honestly don’t know how the guy’s still alive.”
Scott was forced to stop because the car landed in front of him and then he ran over to check on the driver: “I thought it was coming down on top me.
“I lifted him up and he just said ‘f***ing hell’. Then he was taken away to hospital.”
