AN AMERICAN rapper has been trolled by Brits after being filmed drinking an alcopop like a “champ”.
The video of Post Malone was posted to US viral page Barstool Sports who said he was “taking it like a champ.”
But Brits have poured scorn on his achievement and made fun of the rapper.
Post Malone is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and guitarist. His first album, Stoney, was released in 2016 and went double platinum this year.
Barstool Sports posted the video on Friday, saying “Post Malone taking it like a champ”. It has been retweeted over 6,000 times and liked over 22,000 times.
The clip shows Post standing behind a bar and being handed a bottle of Smirnoff Ice. He looks dismayed while someone shouts: “You got iced.”
He unscrews the lid and kneels down behind the bar, being spurred on by loud cheers. He begins to down it but only makes it about three quarters of the way down the bottle.
Standing up he pours way the remaining liquid to more loud cheers.
But social media users in Britain claimed it wouldn’t count as hard drinking on this side of the Atlantic.
Ste Mckenny said: “A Smirnoff f* ice? Pure bird’s drink and didn’t even finish it. The f***y. What did he follow that up with three apple sours, the pure quilt?”
Daniel Woods said: “Taking it like a champ? That’s a Smirnoff Ice you wet wipe, 11-year-olds drink that stuff.”
Michael Laidler said: “Smirnoff Ice is the kind of drink you give to bairns on New Year’s Eve.”
Eilidh Dewar said: “No being funny but an eight year old could do that in Glasgow.”
Luke laughed and added: “C*** tanned a smirnoff ice, Americans man.”
Others suggested some popular strong UK drinks which he should try instead.
One social media user said: “That’s no impressive at aw – ma cat can dae that. Mad dug now that’s a bit more interesting.”
Another user said: “Try doing that with bucky pal.”
Ryan Junor added: “Couldn’t even tan a Smirnoff Ice and thinking he’s a legend. America is different gravy.”
