Woman’s Kinder egg fake eyelashes hack takes internet by storm

A WOMAN’S ingenious false eyelashes hack has taken the internet by storm – after she revealed she keeps them in a Kinder egg box.

Danielle Haigh, from Beverley, East Yorkshire, amazed users with her simple but effective hack on Twitter.

Many users pointed out that false eyelashes tend to come in boxes that are too big for some handbags.

Danielle posted a picture of the yellow plastic container that comes inside the 80p chocolate treat, which is usually reserved for a small toy.

She has neatly written “lashes” on the side, with small hand-drawn stars dotted across it to give it a personalised feel.

In the next picture, she holds open the perfectly sized container to reveal a pair of loose eyelashes and glue.

The self-employed dog groomers post now has over 61,000 likes and 1,300 comments since it was posted on Monday (Nov 6).

Danielle uploaded the pictures with the caption: “False eyelashes always getting wrecked shoving them in ur bag? Go treat yourself to a kinder egg. You are welcome ladies.”

Speaking today (MON), Danielle said: “I first got the idea when I was just tidying out some drawers at home and had one of the little containers from the kinder egg in the drawer.

“I’d put it on the side next to my make up bag and it just came to mind that my eyelashes and glue would fit in it. I always loose my glues and my eyelashes usually get ruined by wedging them either in my purse or in a compact power as they get squashed, so I thought it was a little life saver.”

Danielle added that she couldn’t believe the reaction she’s had in the past week. She said: “I posted the photo in a small group chat I have with my best friends and they all said it was a good idea, so I posted it on twitter and I cannot believe the reaction it got.

“I was expecting maybe a few girls from my area to like or retweet the post. I’ve had hundreds of messages and it was posted on various Facebook pages and Instagram by other people.”

Social media users were quick to share their amazement at the simple hack, and to share their past horror stories.

Zara Noakes wrote: “I tried it with a mint tin and it didn’t work because the mint was so strong when I put my lashes on it well stung my eye. So will have to try this.”

Lauren said: “Why haven’t I thought of this before oh my god.”

Holly commented: “So many eyelashes would have been saved.”

Georgia joked: “I’m on my way to the shop.”

Jenny added: “Definitely a better idea than shoving them in my purse and finding them a week later when I’m trying to pay for coffee.”

Ellz said: “Wow what a legend.”

Beth added: “Oh my god this is the best idea ever.”
