PSG boss Unai Emery has fired an ominous warning to Celtic by insisting his side have no intention of taking their foot off the gas despite securing passage to Champions League knockout phase.

The rampant Parisians booked their place in the last-16 with a sensational 5-0 win against Anderlecht in Brussels, with left-back Layvin Kurzawa becoming the first defender in the competition’s history to notch a hat-trick.

The Ligue 1 giants now boast four wins from four games in Group B – including a 5-0 triumph against the Hoops – and have bagged 17 goals without conceding.

Nevertheless, Emery has vowed that there will be no complacency when Celtic visit Paris in their next European fixture on November 22, with PSG desperate to claim top spot ahead of Bayern Munich to ensure an easier route to the quarter-final.

The Spanish tactician said: “We are satisfied. We qualified, which was the most important thing, but the goal in this group is to finish first and we still have work against Celtic at home and against Bayern.

“We claimed the three points and it was important to perform well. I thought we were excellent for the full 90 minutes. In the first game against Anderlecht we gave them too much space and conceded too many chances – this time we gave them nothing.

“They only had two or three half chances and that’s what we keep working for, to keep improving as a team. We will not stop that.”
