BRITAIN’S youngest EuroMillions winner Jane Park has been criticised for claiming Dundee “is swimming in junkies”.
The 21-year-old took to Twitter last night (TUE) to post the offensive tweet about the same city where her 18-year-old boyfriend Jordan Piggot plays football.
Last month it was revealed that Park, originally from Niddrie, Edinburgh, was dating the Dundee FC footballer – explaining why she has been spending more time there.
But last night her tweet writing “Dundee is swimming in junkies” alongside a green nauseated face emoji did not go down well.
@greigirvine wrote: “You will be used to that being from Niddrie.”
@TheGolfBadger said: “Aye because Edinburgh has none right enough….”
@gcon1982 wrote: “Yeah cos Trainspotting was based in Dundee” Eh aye ken! Choose life.”
And @Angry_Arab83 said: “Not many junkies in Leith right enough…”
Responding to some of the comments, Jane started hitting out at other Scottish cities.
She told one critic, from Drumchapel, Glasgow, that his hometown is a “full of rats”.
Then, referring to Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, Park added: “Even Clyde b over the road is nicer.”
But Jane did get support from one social media user who wrote: “The City of Discovery – get there and discover it’s sh**e.”
Jane Park is known as Britain’s youngest lottery winner after scooping £1million when she was just 17-years-old.
She later threatened to sue EuroMillions claiming that the win ruined her life.
The Scot has made the headlines over recent months after splashing out for numerous cosmetic surgery procedures including a Brazilian bum lift.
Earlier this year, residents of Niddrie expressed outrage after a community activist claimed the area was overrun with heroin addicts “who look like zombies” and “half-doped out of their face”.
The area’s crime rate is 70% above the national average.
