JAMES McDONAUGH has made Falkirk striker Scott Shepherd his first signing as Edinburgh City manager.
The 21-year-old, who has made seven appearances for the Bairns this term, has joined the Citizens on loan until January as they attempt to arrest a five game winless streak.
McDonaugh worked with Shepherd during his three years as assistant head coach to Peter Houston at Falkirk and the speedy striker will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s clash with Stirling at Ainslie Park.
McDonaugh told City’s official website: “Scott comes here with something to prove and is hungry to do well.
“Although we have a few striking options, Scott gives us another dimension which I feel will help the team and hopefully contribute to us picking up points and climbing the table.”
