A HILARIOUS video shows two young lads sprinting along a city street at night – and straight into the side of a car.
Jared Thomas and a friend challenged each other to see who was the fastest on a night out.
But the race – dubbed the “Idiot Olympics” by social media users – ended early as the boys hurtled into a Daewoo Matiz, leaving the vehicle badly dented.
Jared and his pal were left sprawled in the street and were lucky to be able to pick themselves up following the collision.
The clip, thought to have been filmed in Cardiff, catches the squeal of tyres as the shocked driver tries to avoid a collision, and a sickening bang as the racers impact the side of the city car.
A huge dent is clearly visible in the front wing and one of the boys can be heard muttering “I’ve been run over” as onlookers laugh at the mayhem.
Jared, from Merthyr, Mid Glamorgan, uploaded the video onto his Twitter page on Sunday with the defiant caption: “I definitely won the race though.”
He later added: “Can’t believe it like, it’s all fun and games until your knee looks like a football.
“Think I’ve cracked a rib though.”
Since then it has been viewed more than 300,000 times and attracted dozens of comments.
One unimpressed viewer wrote: “#idiotolympics The human race may have lost however…”
Another follower said: “The dent in the car. Oh my god.”
