AN acrobatic pooch has created its own swing – by leaping twice its body length on to a tree branch and hanging there for up to five minutes.
A hilarious video shows Honey leap around 6ft to lock her jaws on to the branch and then swing in endless circles.
The remarkable Jack Russell/Staffie cross performs the feat on the same branch every day and has to be physically removed and carried away by owner Hannah McCallum.
Hannah, 18, from Kirkcaldy, Fife, gives her beloved pet a maximum of five minutes on the swing to protect Honey’s teeth.
At the start of the comical clip, Hannah is seen walking around a wooden fence asking Honey “where you going?”
Honey, six-and-a-half, comes into view throwing herself upwards towards the branch but missing and clattering back on the ground prompting a worried “oh” from Hannah.
The small black and tan terrier then continues propelling herself into the air trying grab hold of the branch with one try causing her to fall onto her back with a thud causing Hannah to say “oh my god”.
Eventually the intrepid hound manages to latch onto the branch and then begins to eagerly swing around trying to break it off from the trunk.
Hannah said: “Honey does it every time we go on a walk there. I only recorded her doing it for 24 seconds but on the walk she would have done it for about 3 and half minutes but I took her away from it as she was doing it the day before and I didn’t want her getting a sore mouth.
“The longest I’ve let her do it is about five minutes.”
She added: “I have to pull her off the branch and carry her half way up the field so that she won’t run back to it. So far it is only that one tree but I think that’s because it’s he only one she can reach.”
“I think she’d go all day until the branch fell off. I have to physically carry her half way up the field so that she won’t run back to it.
Currently the clip has gone viral online, with nearly 800 retweets and over 1,700 likes.
