THE moment a would-be rock star is crushingly slapped down by his dad has been captured in a hilarious video.
Labourer Mark McKelvie, wearing tinted shades and a fluffy dressing gown, plays acoustic guitar as he performs a spirited rendition of an Oasis song at home.
But the 20-year-old’s dreams of fame are shattered within seconds after his dad bellows from upstairs: “Mark, shut yer puss!”
Mark, from Kelty, Fife, looks confused for a moment and then replies: “Oh, I didnae ken you were in Dad, sorry!”
As the silenced singer puts down the guitar and looks sheepishly towards the camera, his pal Hayden Buchanan, who filmed the clip, can be heard laughing.
Ironically, Mark incurred his father’s wrath while playing Don’t Look Back in Anger.
The short clip has been retweeted nearly 5,000 times and now has over 8,200 likes.
Hayden, 21, a window cleaner, said today (Mon): “We were just mucking about, we didn’t know his dad was in the house.”
Zoe Friel commented on social media: “My mum when we are too loud haha.”
GMcQueen added: “Singing like that as well… boy better keep his puss shut mun.”
Chelsea Stevenson said: “Omg I cannot breathe ‘didn’t ken you were in dad sorry’
Olivia Gillespie said simply: “Absolute gold.”
