Hibs set to land Manchester City winger Brandon Barker

Hibs are set to sign Manchester City winger Brandon Barker on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old is expected to arrive in Edinburgh over the next 24 hours to complete a switch to the Leith side.

Barker’s sole appearance for the City first team came as a substitute in a 5-1 FA Cup defeat to Chelsea in 2016, but the youngster helped NAC Breda clinch promotion to the Eredivisie during a temporary spell in the Netherlands last season.

Should the England Under-20 internationalist sign for Neil Lennon’s side, he will be on course to lock horns with with City team-mate Ashley Smith-Brown after the left-back joined rivals Hearts earlier this summer.
