SCOTLAND international John McGinn has become the butt of the joke after facing a ribbing from and ex-teammate’s dog.
The 22-year-old midfielder’s form has seen him push into Gordon Strachan’s Scotland squads and helped Hibs to promotion from the Scottish Championship last season.
And his club boss Neil Lennon recently said he valued his star man and £5 million as suitors from south of the border are rumoured to be preparing bids.
However, former teammate Jason Cummings has had a bit of fun with the valuation through the Instagram account of his dog ‘Baby Carlos’.
Cummings posted a picture of his pooch on his Instagram account with the caption: “Happy 1st birthday Baby Carlos, hope you got spoilt.”
The photo shows the striker’s beloved dog sprawled out on the floor and has been liked by over 1,000 people, including Cummings’ new Nottingham Forest teammate Barrie McKay.
However, in the comments section, a reply from the account ‘BabyCarlos35’ which writes as if it’s coming from the dog, made light of McGinn’s £5 million valuation.
It read: “John McGinn 5 million? Wouldn’t pay 5 gravy bones for you ya fat heed melt.”
The hilarious exchange has since been spotted and shared on Twitter by one user who wrote: “F****** howlin at @Jasoncummings35 dug pestering f*** oot a McGinn.”
Cummings recently left Easter Road to join Nottingham Forest who are managed by former Rangers boss Mark Warburton.
McGinn has been linked with Celtic and Ipswich in recent weeks as Hibs prepare for their return to top-flight football.
