FORMER Rangers youngster Jamie Ness has joined up with Derek Adams at Plymouth Argyle.
The 26-year joins the Pilgrims after being released by League 1 rivals Scunthorpe United, having made 47 appearances during an injury-blighted two years at Glanford Park.
Ness becomes Adams’ fourth summer signing since winning promotion to the third tier, following the captures of ex-Motherwell winger Lionel Ainsworth, Coventry ace Ruben Lameiras and Morecambe defender Ryan Edwards.
The midfielder shot to prominence with Rangers, representing the Ibrox outfit 18 times and netting a memorable Old Firm wonder-goal against Celtic in a breathless 2-2 draw in 2011.
However, Ness departed the Glasgow giants for Stoke following the Gers’ financial collapse in 2012, penning a four-year deal.
He played just once for the Brittania outfit – instead being farmed out on loan to Leyton Orient and Crewe – before leaving the club for Scunthorpe in 2015.
