A TRIO of fun-loving police officers joined the airborne division at a Scottish town’s funfair.
A video shows the three policemen in full uniform taking off as they race down 30ft slide, bumping their way down to the bottom, much to the amusement of those watching.
Brian Kerr, 47, filmed the officers getting into the festival spirit in his hometown of Denny, Falkirk.
The footage has gone viral online with thousands of views from people in all over the world, including Germany, Australia – and a police officer from the USA.
Brian uploaded the footage to Facebook last weekend with the caption: “Denny Dunipace gala day. Even the boys in blue were up for a laugh.”
The clip has since had over 1,400 views with nearly 1,000 likes and comments from amused viewers.
The 28-second video starts with a shot of the three officers, in their high-vis uniform, sitting at the top of the slide ready to launch themselves down.
A voice behind the camera says: “oh my god,” before the three of them start on their way down the slide.
Loud laughter can be heard as the officers bounce their way down to the bottom, with all three getting ‘air’ as they bump down the slide.
The last officer to make it to the bottom comes in with a particularly bumpy landing and can be seen grimacing as he skids his way along the wet surface.
The policemen get back onto their feet at the bottom of the slide, with one officer putting on a comedy walk to pretend he’s hurt his hip on the way down.
Speaking about his clip, Brian said: “ It was spur of the moment stuff from the officers and went down extremely well.
“The distance round the globe this has traveled has taken me and my family by surprise. I’m glad I have made so many others smile with one simple video clip.
“It had been raining just before I took the video but it didn’t stop them. Good to see them enjoying themselves as well.”
Facebook users were quick to comment on the footage.
Wanda Parker wrote: “Greetings from Emerald Isle, North Carolina, USA. I wake up this morning and your video has made it over here to us. What fun it was to watch. My husband is a police officer and I love this.”
Lynne Wilcox commented: “Brilliant. Great community spirit.”
Whilst Anne Carr added: “Good for them. We all need a bit of fun.”
