STUNNING video shows the moment a motorboat was “buzzed” off the Scottish coast by a family of dolphins – one of which comes within a few feet.
The footage was filmed on a trip from Canna to Rum and shows around a dozen dolphins gracefully leaping in and out of the water at around 20mph.
The clip, filmed against the magnificent backdrop of Rum, was taken aboard the Bella Jane by Gary Chittick.
It was captioned: “Being buzzed by common dolphins from the Bella Jane/Aquaexplore rib as we headed from Canna to Rum and back to Elgol, Skye.”
The video was liked hundreds of times, and received several delighted comments from other social media users.
James Raeburn said: “Wow nice I’ll be working there in the summer!”
Fiona Wood wrote: You should have told them to swim round the corner to Broadford so I could see them.”
June Myles added: “That’s awesome.”
Common dolphins are starting to emerge in Hebridean waters this month, and usually stay until October.
They usually move in groups of 10 to 30.
