COMEDIAN Kevin Bridges was snapped with Celtic legend Bobby Lennox while watching The Hoops complete their unbeaten season yesterday (Sun).

Celtic beat Hearts 2-0 on Sunday afternoon to become the first team to complete a Scottish top-flight season unbeaten for 118 years, and Bhoys fan Bridges was there to watch.

After the club tweeted a photo of him at the stadium yesterday lunchtime, Bridges shared his own photo, with the legendary striker, 73.

Lennox, nicknamed Buzzbomb, was part of the famous ‘Lisbon Lions’ side that won the European Cup in 1967.

In the image, Bridges, wearing a blue striped polo, has his arm around Lennox, who is kitted out in a full suit.

Lennox has a smile on his face, as Bridges points to him.

Bridges uploaded the image on to his Twitter account yesterday afternoon with the caption: “The Buzzbomb #hero.”

The image has now been liked almost 2,000 times, and fans expressed their delight at the pair meeting.

Brendan Sherry wrote: “What a player he was, even quicker than your jokes Kevin.”

Robert Arbuckle said: “Cracking photo. Both amazing guys.”

Grant Reilly quipped: “Saltcoat’s finest”, in reference to Lennox’s hometown.

Whilst Joey Tribiani said: “Greatest left winger ever. Pretty good golfer too!”

Lennox played Outside Left for Celtic for 20 years between 1961 and 1981, and was away for only one season, to play in the US.

He also represented the Scottish national team ten times, scoring three goals.

Lennox is known for being the Lisbon Lion that was born furthest from Celtic’s ground – being born 30 miles away in Saltcoats.

All other members of the side were born within 10 miles of Celtic Park.
