Bizarre snap shows Scots youngsters on sofa – in middle of river

BIZARRE images have captured the moment a group of youngsters set up a makeshift living room – in the middle of a fast-flowing river.

The odd photograph was taken in Bonnybridge, Falkirk, and shows three young men happily sitting on the black leather sofa submerged in the water.

A second snap shows the couch repositioned in the middle of the water with an old supermarket crate used to create an improvised coffee table.

The quirky sight was spotted by Facebook user John Shaw who uploaded his picture with the caption: “You have to love Bonnybridge, it just screams pure class lol.”

The first photo shows three youngsters dressed in tracksuits sitting on a black leather, three-seater sofa, whilst a single chair from the set lies empty next to them.

The water laps up the front of the chair although it seems to be providing a spot for the youngsters to take a break from their kickabout, as a football and a waterproof backpack can be seen on the bank nearby.

A second photo shows the rearranged aqua living room, with the sofa moved so that it stretches out across the water.

New furniture has also been added, with an old supermarket crate perched on top of a box to create a makeshift coffee table whilst an old headboard from a bed perches in the water against the river bank.

Facebook users have been quick to comment on the unusual photos.

Levi Close wrote: “That’s the kind of s**t that actually happens here.”

Em Mcmorran commented: “That’s brilliant.2

Whilst Lauren Barclay added: “What happens in Bonnybridge, stays in Bonnybridge.”

It’s not the first time strange goings on have been spotted in Bonnybridge.
