T2 stars in pictures with Hibs boss after title win

TRAINSPOTTING author Irvine Welsh has been pictured at a Hibs title-winning celebration with boss Neil Lennon.

In pictures shared online yesterday (Sun), Welsh can be seen in a pub, giving a salute to the camera alongside a young Hibby, whilst Neil Lennon is shown in other pictures at the same establishment.

Amongst the other snaps, T2: Trainspotting star Bradley Welsh can be seen fist-bumping the ex-Celtic manager Lennon.

Bradley was part of notorious Hibs casuals The Capital City Service in the 1980s, before transforming himself into a business guru and opening a boxing gym.

He posted the images of the party from his Holyrood Boxing Gym Twitter account yesterday with the caption: “Huge Shout out for Hibs – Neil Lennon and Garry Parker.

“Great night and great day with Jackie Boy and Irvine Welsh. #HereWeGoTwoInArow.”

The image was later retweeted by his namesake Irvine, who is of no relation.

Hibs secured the Scottish Championship title with a 3-0 win over Queen of the South on Saturday, and will now play in the Scottish Premiership next season.

Irvine Welsh’s Twitter followers reacted with delight to the images.

Aaron St. Clair said: “Great photos mate! Kicking it with the best of them! What a great occurance well deserved. All the best man.”

Another user joked about Bradley’s appearance, saying: “Looks like a Scots Brock Lesnar.”

Scott Duffy quipped that the pair may have been a little worse for wear after celebrating on Saturday night, saying: “That’ll explain your absense at Sunday Service then.”

Ex-casual Bradley plays a crime king in T2: Trainspotting and is a good friend of author and namesake Irvine.

A scene in the film is also filmed in his boxing gym.
