Distraught mother of missing Allan Bryant issues heartfelt plea for information

THE DISTRAUGHT mother of missing man Allan Bryant has shared a heartfelt

plea for people to come forward with information about her son.

Marie Degan posted the clip online yesterday (TUE) asking for help finding her son who went over three years ago.

The mother from Glenrothes, Fife, begged with viewers to come forward if they had any knowledge as to what happened to Allan the night he vanished.

Allan was 23 when he went missing and has not been seen since leaving Styx

nightclub in Glenrothes in the early hours of November 3, 2013.

The emotional video begins with Marie thanking viewers for their support.

She said: “I want to thank everybody for their continuous support. It does give us the strength to keep going on.

“This is just to who is involved with Allan’s disappearance. I just don’t know how you can carry on, knowing what you are putting us through. We don’t deserve this, no-one does.”

She continued, asking for someone to come forward with information: “Why can’t you just phone anonymously, say where Allan is and give us that closure.

“Someone dies you are just living a nightmare until the funeral and then you go through the grieving process.

“We haven’t had any of that, we are stuck in limbo. We can’t move on, how can we move on with our lives when we don’t know what’s happened.”

Towards the end of the short two minute clip, Marie again asks people to get in touch with the family of the police.

She adds: “We know the worst has happened to Allan. But we can’t forget him, we need answers, we need to know what’s happened and we need to find Allan.

“So if anybody out there knows where Allan is, please phone 101 anonymously.

“Private message Allan [Senior], there’s phone numbers, there’s many ways to contact people and to tell them the truth.

“We’ve had it now, it’s getting really, really hard. So if anyone out there has any information, please let someone know. Thank you.”

Speaking today (WED) about his wife’s emotional appeal, Allan Bryant Senior said: “She was struggling a bit. She just wants people to understand what she’s going through.

“If someone’s got a heart out there and knows something, we just pray they’ll come forward.”

Viewers have been showing their support for the family.

Bella Mac wrote: “Powerful post and hope someone comes forward for you all to get some closure. Thinking of your family Marie”

Michelle Bradshaw commented: “Heartbreaking for this family someone must know what happened to their son give them peace of mind”

Colin Craig replied: “We are all here for you and your family”

The search for Allan became the largest missing person probe ever carried out in Fife and his family have made several high-profile appeals.

According to his father, Allan Snr, the 23 year-old left the family home in “a really happy mood” to go to an engagement party at Leslie Golf Club.

After the party Allan and some friends went to Styx Nightclub in Glenrothes and was just a 10-minute walk from home when he disappeared without trace.
