LIVINGSTON star Liam Buchanan insists he is ready to talk terms with the Lions as he eyes another crack at the Championship.
The 32-year-old has been a talisman in Livi’s march to the League 1 title, notching 25 goals to beat the club’s all-time scoring record for a single campaign, previously belonging to Iain Russell.
Nevertheless, the West Lothian outfit are yet to tie down Buchanan to a new deal, with his current one due to expire at the end of this season.
After sealing promotion at the weekend with a win over Alloa, Buchanan expects boss David Hopkin to start discussions with his out of contract stars imminently.
And he has hinted that he would be happy to commit to the Almondvale outfit.
Buchanan said: “I’m out of contract in the summer. Like everyone, I’ll just need to see what happens, but I’ve really enjoyed my time here.
“That has been two seasons at Livingston and it has given me a bit of stability for the first time in a while. It’s been a bit of time since I’ve been at a club for that length of time.
“So that has been great and hopefully I’ll sit down and see what the manager says. It’s definitely a conversation I’m happy to have with the manager – hopefully he wants to have it with me as well!
“Now that we’ve won promotion, I imagine the club will start to chat with a few of the boys and we’ll see how it pans out.”
