QUEEN OF THE SOUTH are to honour stalwart striker Derek Lyle with a testimonial against a Rangers Legends side boasting the likes of Barry Ferguson, Gordon Durie and Peter Lovenkrands.
The prolific 36-year-old is celebrating his 10th year as a Queens player, spanning three separate spells at Palmerston Park.
He was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2015 and is the club’s most decorated player of all time.
Lyle further cemented his fans’ favourite status in August by scoring his 100th goal for the club in a 1-0 win over Dunfermline.
He will line-up alongside teammates past and present such as Brian Reid, Paul Burns, Jim Thomson and Stephen Dobbie for the encounter against the Ibrox icons, which will take place on June 25th at Palmerston Park.
