DRAMATIC video and pictures show the moment a brand new pick-up is blown up on the set of the Avengers: Infinity War film.
The massive explosion on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile took place on Sunday night with a large crowd of fans eagerly looking on.
An amazing video captured the moment the flat-bed pick-up was blown up, throwing rubble and smoke around 50 metres into the air.
In a series of incredible photos, members of the team are seen preparing for the blast and the windscreen of the van sent flying after detonation.
Crews dampened the cobbled street before the explosion and a crew member wearing large yellow safety gloves is seen carrying some kind of charge towards the pick-up.
As the explosion goes off debris and flames are sent into the air along with the van’s windscreen.
Bright orange sparks can be seen at the explosion goes off and the pick-up is left looking twisted and mis-shapen.
Fire crews are also photographed before the fiery blast and then seen rushing onto the set and hosing down the flames.
Although it is unclear if they are stuntmen or real firemen.
In another photo around 50 stunned onlookers can be seen watching the set and members of the crew are snapped carrying a Victorian lamp-post.
The £400 million blockbuster is set to continue on the Royal Mile this week with another explosive stunt tipped for April 6.
