Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong insists the Hoops need to put their Old Firm disappointment into perspective, despite admitting the draw felt like a defeat.
Brendan Rodgers’ side dropped points for only the second time this season after Rangers defender Clint Hill struck an 87th minute equaliser to cancel Armstrong’s first half opener.
But with Celtic unbeaten at domestic level in a season that includes putting together a 22-game winning run in the Premiership prior to the weekend, Armstrong insists Celtic need to look at the bigger picture.
“We’re still on a good run of form and we want to keep that going
“I think that says a lot about our season so far and how good we’ve been, how consistent we’ve been.
“It was a bit scrappy, a bit hectic as these games always are. We improved as the game went on and had some chances. We can only focus on improving going into the next match (against Dundee).
“Maybe in parts it was a bit frustrating, not as fluid as we sometimes are but there are positives in the game and some to take out of it.
“Although it feels very disappointing, especially to lose a goal so late, we’re still on a good run form and still unbeaten and we will remain very confident for the rest of the games.
“That’s what we need to keep in our heads, a perspective and balance.”
