Has Warburton been spotted working as a train conductor?

FOOTBALL fans have been speculating as to whether ex-Rangers boss Mark Warburton has a new job already – as a train conductor.

Warburton left Rangers in acrimonious circumstances last month, but an image showing a train ticket collector with a similar appearance has surfaced online.

The image was taken on what appears to be a Scotrail train, and shows a bald man in a suit in the distance, talking to another passenger.

The picture was posted on the Scottish Football Away fans Facebook page yesterday and has been liked and shared over 1,200 times.

Scottish footy fans thought the train worker looked like former Rangers boss Warburton

It was posted with the caption: “Mark Warburton has found a new job”.

Several football fans were quick to joke about the image.

Cammy McEwan said: “How would any of you know what he looks like? He’s been missing from the first game of the season.”

Gordon Leckie wrote: “I hope he is dominating the carriage.”

To which Stephen Leyden said: “Just like he dominated the SPFL aye.”

Billy Scott quipped: “Best job for him.”

Whilst Stuart Maxwell asked: “Can’t be him. Where is the magic hat that he supposedly wears?”

According to a Rangers club statement on February 10, Warburton, his assistant David Weir and head of recruitment Frank McParland resigned from their positions at the club.

But Warburton said at the time he had not resigned and was consulting his legal team.

Under-20 coach Graeme Murty has temporarily taken charge of the first team, and won three of the five games he has managed.
