Stunning images show couple getting married on Britain’s highest peak

INCREDIBLE images show the moment two skiers got married at the summit of the UK’s ninth-highest mountain – and then skiied to the bottom.
Wearing boots and skis, Bridget and Jonathan Reid tied the knot at the top of 4,005ft Aonach Mor, surrounded by friends and family.
The intrepid couple, both aged 36, then raced down the slopes in breathtaking pictures captured by photographer Hamish Frost.

Bridget, an acting depute head at Alness Academy, can be seen wearing a traditional white wedding gown which has been chopped at the bottom to showcase her ski boots.
Her husband Jonathan, owner of his own electrical automation company, is shown beaming from ear to ear in full kilt – teamed up with ski goggles.
The weddings officiated, Halde Pottinger from the Humanist Society of Scotland, believes the wedding could be the first wedding conducted and vowed in skis – officiate and couple.

Bridget, 36, said: “We got engaged in late August and were trying to decide where to get married.
“I had always planned to get married on my parents farm but they both passed away over the last few years so we thought the Nevis Range would be fun.
“We love the resort and the staff there are all so friendly. Plus our first date was six years ago at Cairngorm resort, so doing it in skis seemed like a good idea.
“Jonno actually set off an avalanche at the time too.
“We had about 100 guests at the wedding but I think only around 30 were at the top.
Bridget revealed how the most difficult part of wedding planning was finding someone to conduct the wedding who could ski.

She added: “The main criterias was to find an officiant who could ski. As soon as we mentioned skiing,  Halde was totally up for it.
“I had a really good run going down, the snow was really soft. I had bought my dress on Ebay for £50.
“I found out it was designer but chopped it up at the bottom so I was able to wear it down the hill.”
