“When Trump marries Clinton.” Sign maker’s hilarious assessment of chances of customer paying up.

AN angry businessman is using Raith Rovers and Donald Trump to try to shame a hotel into settling what he claims is an unpaid bill.

Sandy McLure reckons his sign-making business is still owed £750 by the hotel for signs, paiting and stencils.

So Sandy used his own professional skills to create a sarcastic quiz question which he then displayed in the window of his premises in Kirkcaldy, Fife.

AN angry businessman is using Raith Rovers and Donald Trump to try to shame a hotel into settling what he claims is an unpaid bill.

The sign asked: “When will The Raven Hotel pay for their signs?”

Sandy then provided three possible answers: “A) When Raith Rovers win the Champions League B) When Donald Trump Marries Hillary Clinton C) When we take them to court.”

The Raven Hotel, who insist they have paid the bulk of the bill and have offered to pay the remainder, say they are taking their own legal action.

Sandy, 66, has posted the image of his quiz sign on social media, where it has currently been shared over 300 times.

He claimed: “I did this from frustration after waiting more than three months to be paid for the work I have done.

“We only had seven days to complete the work in November. My staff did overtime and everyone rallied.

“The hotel is only 50 yards from my shop. I have hand delivered letters to the hotel and sent emails but didn’t get a response from them.

“I did get an email from them, after the quiz sign went in the window, saying if I took the sign down they would pay the rest of the bill but since they ignored my letters and emails I haven’t responded.”

He added: “I wanted to make the sign humorous instead of just stating someone owes me money. I’ve already planned the sign for next month.”

The Raven Hotel said in a statement today: “We have paid the bulk of Mr McLure’s sign.

“He did not respond to an offer to pay of the remainder. He has published an amount of lies and we have been asked not to comment by the company who owns the hotel as legal action is being taken.”
