Passengers for “Craiglang” getting special Still Game messages

COMMUTERS at one of Scotland’s biggest train stations have been cheered up with a special Still Game-themed message.

Electronic boards at Glasgow’s Queen Street station are celebrating Jack and Victor’s return to the stage by telling passengers for “Craiglang” not to get too “legless at the Clansman” beforehand.

Still Game recently returned to the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, following a successful first stage show and a triumphant return to TV screens last year.

A video of the revamped station sign was uploaded to YouTube on Sunday with the title: “Glasgow Queen Street Announcement – Still Game Live.”

The 31-second-clip starts with the usual train announcements before asking passengers: “Aff tae Craiglang fur Still Game Live 2! At the Hydro the day?

“Don’t git legless at the Clansman, you’ll need tae watch yer footin later and buy yer tickets before ye git on the train.”

A ScotRail Alliance spokeswoman said: “We’ve added a ‘temporary’ station to our network to coincide with the Still Game live show’s run at Glasgow Hydro.

“Jack and Victor have also been helping with station announcements, so our customers arriving at Craiglang should listen to their advice for moving around the station and boarding trains.”

The latest Sill Game stage show sees Jack and Victor take to the seas on a cruiseship on the lookout for love.

The cast completed a successful 21-night run in 2014 and this year’s show runs until February 16.
