“I’m hungry!” How boy, six, reacts to stomach-churning first drift ride with dad

HILARIOUS video shows a drift-riding dad take his young son out for his first, stomach-churning ride only to be told at the end: “I’m hungry.”

Riley Davies, six, is seen being thrown from side-to-side in his seat while kicking his legs and squealing with excitement.

Dad Jonathan Davies, who recorded his boy’s first experience of drifting, asks at the end of the session: “What did you think?”

Riley replies: “I’m a bit hungry.”

An incredulous Jonathan, from Northhampton, asks: “”Hungry? You’re talking about food at a time like this?”

The footage, filmed at the Flatout Factory Drift Academy in Birmingham, is intercut with exciting drone footage of Jonathan driving on another occasion to give a sense of the forces Riley experienced.

Jonathan, who runs his own courier firm, said his son has always been into cars and bikes from an early age.

He said: “I have been lucky enough take hundreds of people for hot lap passenger rides when working for the Flatout Factory.

“I have seen smiles and heard screams of excitement from lots of people but this passenger is my best one ever.

“I got to take my son out who shares my passion for the sport.”

The adrenaline-fuelled ride was a surprise for Jonathan who did not realise his brother, James, was bringing Riley to the track.

Jonathan said: “I was over the moon to see that my brother had brought him down to the track. I even had tears in my eyes. I never thought I would get to share my passion for drifting with him at such an early age, it was a dream come true.”

“When we set off and drifted one corner to test the water with him, I heard the most amazing giggle and laugh from my boy.

“Since that day he has not stopped talking about the event and now one day he wants to be a drift driver.

“Inbetween meals that is.”
