Boxing legend Lewis reveals he’s a Scottish football fan

BOXING legend Lennox Lewis has revealed himself to be a secret Scottish football fan.

The three-time world heavyweight champion disclosed his passion for the Scottish game during a Twitter question and answer session in which he admitted he’d enjoyed Hibs’ Scottish Cup victory last year.

The 51-year-old praised Hibs’ captain for his “great header” which sealed victory for the Edinburgh club over Rangers in the dying moments of last May’s final.

Posting in the early hours of this morning (MON), Lewis tweeted to his 463,000 followers: “What’s crackin’?”

Hibs fan Paul Walker replied: “My eggs in the morning.”

Lewis replied to Paul with the thumbs up emoticon before the Hibs supporter continued: “Thanks for the reply Lennox I’m a big fan. Did you know in 2016 Davie Gray scored the winner for Hibs in the 2016 Scottish cup?”

The boxer then replied: “Yes I did. That was a great header.”

A disbelieving Paul then ended the conversation: “Omg. You are a legend.”

He then tweeted a photo of his conversation with the superstar and said: “Think I might delete Twitter because it doesn’t get any better.”

Twitter users, including Hibs player Marvin Bartley, were delighted with the response.

Bartley replied: “I agree, delete it mate as you’ve now completed Twitter!”

Barry Dickson commented: “Epic stuff.”

Whilst a Hibs fansite tweeted: “That’s braw. Lennox Lewis knows the score.”

Lewis is thought to be a fan of English Premier League side West Ham United, however it wasn’t known he his a keen follower of the game north of the border.
