Bizarre footage captures moment two women attack city phonebox

A BIZARRE video shows a young boy and two women attacking a city centre phonebox for cash in broad daylight.

The clip – called “two junkies versus a telephone box” – shows the trio lining up to take kicks at the phone.

Despite the obvious theft bid involving a boy aged around 12, numerous pedestrians walk past with barely a sideways glance.

The scene is thought to have been filmed recently in central Glasgow and was then posted to a social media site where it has been viewed 14,000 times.

The clip was called “two junkies versus a telephone box”

The woman and the boy take turns to grab the frame of the phone box with both hands so they can deliver maximum force with their kicking.

The cameraman, who filmed the clip from a high window across the street, can be heard giggling as the attack continues.

The first woman then kicks the dispenser several times, but despite a number of passers-by witnessing the incident, nobody intervenes.

After achieving little success with her kicks, the first woman stops, and the second begins hitting the coin dispenser, before kicking it herself.

But she is also unable to get the machine to dispense money and the young boy has a shot.

After he then fails as well, the trio turn their attention to a telephone box, adjacent to the first cubicle, before the video cuts out.

The footage appears to be filmed from a nearby flat, and the man recording can be heard laughing uncontrollably throughout.

At one point, he says: “I think it’s going to be massive”, in what sounds like a Northern Irish accent.

Viewers found the footage hilarious.

James Waddell joked that the women were using the wrong technique to try and get the money, saying: “Obviously don’t know the trick with an ice lolly stick.”

Hearts fan Robert Wilson quipped: “Couple of Hibs girls looking fur there bus fare.”
Scot Reilly joked about the video-taker’s position, writing: “Get the sniper rifle out.”

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said they were unable to comment without an exact location and time.
