Holidaymakers seeking the “off grid” retreat will have the full experience, according to the description, with drinking water in a portable tank and a shower that is heated using solar panels with a rain capture system.

Capable of accommodating two people, with a fold out futon bed, the toilet is accessible from the outside and also through a “tiny” door for inside the trailer.

The description reads: “If you need to nip to the loo in the night you can use the small jockey door to avoid midges and rain (just don’t bang your head – it is tiny!).”

The unique glamping pod, which opened for business this autumn, even has a “sky roof” to give he full outdoor experience “minus the midges!”

Some modern features have also been included in the rustic pod, with a USB port powered by the solar panels, whatever the weather.

Stacie does warn guests to stay well clear of nearby fences as they are “all electrified to stop our own prancing ponies from wrecking them all”.

Currently the glamping pod has five star reviews on the Airbnb website with guests commenting on the “cheap, cheerful, and quirky” horsebox.

Mhairi, who stayed there in October said: “The accommodation was lovely, and the pictures don’t do it justice!

“It’s cheap, cheerful, and quirky, and set in beautiful surroundings with lots of walking and mountain biking trails just on the doorstep (take a map!) so as long as folk manage their expectations as to what they’re booking they will have an amazing time.”

Chiara, who also stayed in October said: “Amazing place, perfect for the warm season, we came in October and it’s a little bit cold! Stacie is a wonderful person and you’ll love this particular experience!”

Holidaymakers wanting a little more room could take advantage of two converted horse lorries on Airbnb.

For almost £60 more, you can also stay at “The Strawberry Roan”, a vintage horse lorry that has been converted in to “fun and quirky” accomodation in Tenterden, Kent.

Another converted horse lorry in Pentworth, West Sussex is also available for an eye watering £125, but offers “stunning views across the River Rother” and is a “stones throw from the historic town of Petworth and Goodwood.”
