TENNENT’S have released their own hilarious version of what the John Lewis Christmas advert would look like if it was filmed in Scotland during ‘Hurricane Bawbag’.
The traditional festive advert from the retail giants, which many consider a sign that Christmas has arrived, was released earlier today (WED).
This year’s offering follows the struggles of ‘Buster’ the dog who enviously watches on as a fox, badger and squirrel play on a trampoline before he finally get his chance on Christmas morning.
However, Tennent’s have provided their own spin on the much-talked about as by offering their Scottish alternative.
The ad follows the same theme, however, a man can be seen catching his fingers as he constructs a trampoline in his garden.
The spoof ends with real-life viral footage of a trampoline hurtling down a Scottish street during 2011’s “Hurricane Bawbag”.
At 23-seconds long, the lager brand’s version is considerably shorter than the 2-minute John Lewis epic but centre’s around the same theme of the trampoline present.
The video, which has already attracted 1,000 likes and retweets on Twitter, starts with a man constructing a trampoline from scratch in his snowy back garden.
He struggles to fit all the pieces together, catching his finger on a section as he does so, but eventually he stands back and admires his creation.
It looks similar to the one in the John Lewis advert, with a red bow tied to it, however, the clip then cuts to a confused looking couple standing at the back door as opposed.
It then cuts again to famous viral footage of a trampoline rolling past a window in a Scottish street.
A Scottish accent can be heard saying: “Oh my god, trampoline, trampoline,” as it hurtles past his window during “Hurricane Bawbag”.
Twitter users were quick to respond to Tennent’s spoof.

And @ryansmith recognised the “bawbag” clip and tagged his friend to say: “Mate, the day we saw that hahaha.”
