Scotland’s biggest threat against England is set to come from Hull City playmaker Robert Snodgrass according to his World Cup qualifying stats.
The hat-trick hero in the opening Group F 5-1 win over Malta has had registered a total of five shots on target from the opening three matches, while four have missed the target and three have been blocked.
Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan has had three shots on goal, while Celtic marksman Leigh Griffiths, despite only playing a total of 45 minutes in two matches, is third on the list with two efforts on target.
A goal apiece from Steven Fletcher and Chris Martin in the Malta clash and an equaliser from James McArthur against Lithuania last month count towards their only efforts on target.
Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge is England’s most dangerous player on paper having recorded six efforts on target from the three opening games, including a goal in the 2-0 win over Malta.
Gordon Strachan’s Scotland, meanwhile, are one of the most fouled teams in the qualifying campaign so far having won a total of 48 free-kicks.
Only seven out of the other 51 countries have been fouled more.
