GREG Hemphill reckons Scots face a tougher decision than Americans – watching the final episode of Still Game or the Wembley showdown with England.
The final installment in the latest series of Still Game is due to air this Friday, the same night as the nation’s footballers take on the ‘Auld Enemy’.
Hemphill joked on Twitter that the decision is harder than the Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump choice faced by Americans.
Tweeting to his 21,000 followers this morning (TUE) he wrote: “Scotland has a tougher decision on Friday than the yanks do today. Still Game finale or Scotland v England?”
His fans were split on which one they’d be tuning into.
Stuart wrote: “Still Game finale, definitely.”
David agreed and commented: “Still Game finale. P**h easy decision to make!”
But Fraser is planning to watch Gordon Strachan’s men and wrote: “Still Game set to record, football live. Sorry Greg.”
Whilst Matthew isn’t holding out much hope for the dark blues and added: “We are planning to watch first half Scotland game and then Still Game to cheer us up.”
Still Game returned to television screens last month after nearly a decade away, following the success of the live stage show held at the SSE Hydro.
The last episode of the successful return, called ‘Down and Out’, will air this Friday, in which the Craiglang residents are forced to move into a care home.
The Scottish national team take on England in a competitive match for the first time since 1999 needing a win to lift spirits after drawing at home to Lithuania and losing 3-0 in Slovakia.
The football kicks off at 7.45pm, whilst Still Game starts at 9.30pm, so viewers shouldn’t miss out on too much of the action from Jack and Victor.
