Funny video shows dad using sleeping daughter as a puppet

HILARIOUS footage showing a dad using his sleeping daughter as a puppet has gone viral on social media.

In the clip, Martin Kane tries to wake his daughter, and mimics her replies in a high-pitched voice, whilst moving her mouth with his hand.

Brianie, eight, remarkably remains asleep for the entire 40-second video, as she is made to say a series of traditional Scots phrases to explain why she won’t wake up.

At the start of the clip, with the camera pointing at his daughter’s face, Martin says: “Brianie, let’s go, it’s time to go.”

He then moves his daughter’s mouth, and says “I don’t want to go Dad, I’m sleeping” in a voice several octaves higher than his own.

At one point, Martin imitates his daughter singing. He then ends the clip by getting her to call him “ya dafty”.

The video, which was posted on Facebook yesterday (Thu) has been viewed over 2,000 times, but Martin says Brianie is delighted, despite the prank.

The 29-year old mechanic said: “To everyone who knows me I am the ultimate prankster. My daughter is the same and we do it to each other on a daily basis.

“Today, she asked me to guess who she had seen, and I said ‘who?’ and she just said “everybody I looked at!”

“She absolutely loved the video and it was her that told me to put it on Facebook.

“There was never any planning for it, it was totally spur of the moment and I could not even tell you what I said.”

On Facebook, viewers of the clip reacted with delight.

Jilly Maxwell wrote: “Aww my wee pal. This is too funny.”

Chantelle Duffy said: “You have lost it”, to which Martin replied “Never had it!”

Lorraine Kane, Brianie’s grandmother, wrote: “What can I say when she’s asleep there’s no waking her.”
