Scotland defender Andrew Robertson has revealed he has opened talks with Hull City over a new contract.
The 22-year-old left wing-back was the subjected of a failed £7 million bid from West Ham last month and the former Dundee United and Queens Park player is now keen to extend his stay at the KCOM stadium.
But with Hull still to appoint a permanent successor to Steve Bruce and with the club in the middle of a takeover, Robertson admits there are other matters that need to be resolved first.
“I think that’s right for me and the club to sort other things out.
“From there, hopefully we can get something agreed quite quickly, everything signed and sealed.”
Speaking to the Hull Daily Mail, he added: “Of course, I see my future here. We’ve got to try to stay in the Premier League because that’s where everyone wants to play and I’m no different.
“I want to stay in the Premier League. If Hull can do that, I’d love to stay. It’s a great club to be around. The people are good and the squad’s brilliant. I’d like to stay here for many years to come.”
