Falkirk defender Peter Grant admits he can see light at the end of the tunnel following eight months on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.
The 22-year-old, who suffered a cruciate ligament problem in January, was given the green light to step up his rehabilitation earlier this month and the commanding centre-half reckons he is only four weeks away from a first team return.
Bairns manager Peter Houston is itching to have Grant available for selection and the player admits he is hopeful of making his comeback at the end of next month.
“That was great to hear, whenever you get the green light to progress on to the next stage is great. At least I’ve got a target to work towards now.
“I want to get myself back ready in the best condition I can.
“It’s hard, when it comes to Friday and Saturday morning, it’s probably the toughest two days of the week.
“You’d be waking up on Saturday morning buzzing knowing you have a game at three o’clock but that’s not the case for me at the moment.
“I just have to be patient and make sure I’m as strong as possible.”
