Dunfermline manager Allan Johnston insists the Pars will head to Easter Road with no fear as they bid to inflict more home misery on Hibs.
The Fife outfit are brimming with confidence after recording an opening weekend victory over Dumbarton and the League One champions are keen to build on that momentum on Saturday.
Dunfermline will go up against a Hibs side that were wounded by Tuesday’s dismal 3-1 Betfred Cup defeat to Queen of the South and Johnston, who watched Joe Cardle notch a hat-trick in the 4-3 win over the Sons, insists his side have the weapons to frustrate Neil Lennon’s team.
“But after our performance on Saturday we’re really looking forward to going there and hopefully we can cause them problems as well.
“Dumbarton’s keeper (Alan Martin) kept them in the game and we probably could have scored six or seven.
“It was disappointing to lose two late penalties but there was a lot of good performances and good play.”
