ANDY MURRAY has been putting in the hard yards ahead of this summer’s Olympics even whilst on holiday.
The tennis star is thought to be on the Spanish island of Majorca as he prepares to defend his Olympic crown at this summer’s games in Rio.
He is expected to be on the island for a minimum of 10 days and is set to train with Rafael Nadal during his mid-season break.
Fresh off the back of winning a second Wimbledon title and watching his British team-mates defeat Serbia, the 29-year-old shared an image of himself slumped over an exercise bike.
The snap shows a shirtless Murray clearly exhausted after a cycle session on his sunny balcony, with the caption : “Another brutal session on the bike last night… #tanlines”
His fans were quick to show their admiration for the dedicated sportsman.
Laurence Groundwater commented: “That’s dedication Andy. Get into great shape for Rio. Best of luck! Another great chance is on the Horizon. Going for Gold.”
Ciaran Groarke said: “After a Wimbledon title, you could be forgiven for losing dedication. But the beast clearly is hungry for more. I expect the real number 1 to hoover up the next few slams.”
Whilst James Mason joked: “On holiday and Andy Murray never takes a day off , chuck Norris can’t even handle Andy Murray.”
Murray added a third major title to his collection earlier this month by beating Milos Raonic in straight sets in the Wimbledon final.
The win adds to the US Open he won in 2012 and his previous Wimbledon victory in 2013.
He will look to defend his Olympic gold at next month’s games in Rio following his glory in London four years ago.
