Gym boss Stevie Nisbet, 49, wrote:“A 21-year-old girl I train and mentor went out a run tonight. She is a nice kid that lacks confidence, so generally runs a bit later when the roads are quiet.

“Two f***wits in a white car drove past her on the B7012 from Burnbank to high Blantyre road and egged her.

“The first has left a lump which will possibly leave a black eye and has a few small cuts around her eye and the second left a mark on her chest.

Gym owner Stevie proposed a good clean fight in the ring

“She was f****** distraught, embarrassed and ashamed at being humiliated and hurt in public. So here’s the deal, can you all share this so we can track these two superheroes.

“I wanna invite them down to the gym – me a 49-year-old has-been and a 21-year-old out-of-shape girl, will go toe to toe with you two f****** pussies, step in the ring, set of gloves each. ‘Mon show me how tough you are.”

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, said today: “I didn’t even see it coming. I saw the white car but didn’t really take notice as I just tend to focus on the run.

“The first one hit me on my chest and before I could even see what happened I couldn’t even open my eyes- it went right in my eye.

Steve’s post has went viral since being posted on social media last night.

“I started to panic because I saw blood on my wrist but it was from the cuts next to my noise.

“They must’ve been thrown at some speed because I didn’t know that eggs could hurt that much. I started having a bit of a panic attack and called Stevie who came straight away, picked me up and took me to the gym to get cleaned up.

“They were cowards and drove off. When I saw Stevie’s post I thought hopefully they will see it and not do it to someone else. I would would hate to think they might do it to somebody elderly.

“I probably won’t go out on a run for a while now but if they responded to Stevie’s post I would like to go in the ring with them.”

Stevie’s post has already had approaching 1,000 shares on Facebook and attracted dozens of supportive messages.

And Denise Collinge wrote: “Bloody idiots could have blinded her. Hope you get the chance to get them in your gym.”
