A referee who is two-years younger than Celtic captain Scott Brown will take charge of the Hoops’ crucial Champions League visit of Lincoln Red Imps tomorrow.
Polish official Bartosz Frankowski, who is only 29, will make his debut in the competition at Parkhead on Wednesday evening.
Frankowski, who has been refereeing in his homeland since 2010, has presided over only four Europa League qualifying matches previously, including Cork City’s draw with Linfield earlier this month.
Despite his lack of experience, the referee has been charged with keeping order on a crucial night for Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers as Celtic bid to overturn last week’s humiliating 1-0 second qualifying round first leg defeat in Gibraltar.
