Grant Holt has become Neil Lennon’s first signing as Hibernian manager after penning a one-year deal with the Easter Road outfit.
The 35-year-old was a free agent after being released by English League One outfit Rochdale, where he scored two goals in 14 appearances in the second half of last season.
The bustling front-man has been plagued by injury worries in recent years, most recently battling back from devastating cruciate knee ligament damage.
However, Holt is adamant he is now fully fit and passed a thorough Hibs medical prior to formally completing the move to the capital.
He will hope to recapture the form which saw him earn a place in the Norwich City hall of fame after playing a pivotal role in their rise from League One to the English Premier League, scoring 78 goals in four years.
Holt has also turned out for the likes of Wolves, Huddersfield, Aston Villa, Wigan Athletic, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday during a varied career south of the border.
He could make his debut when Hibs kick off their pre-season campaign against Berwick Rangers next Tuesday.
