Cowdenbeath have snapped up Raith Rovers hall of fame goalkeeper David McGurn on a free transfer.
The 35-year-old joined the Stark’s Park outfit from Morton in 2008 and went on to make more than 200 appearances for the club.
However, he fell out of favour under Ray McKinnon last season, with Kevin Cuthbert cementing the number one spot in Kirkcaldy, and ended the campaign with a loan stint at Stranraer.
The experienced goalkeeper links up with his former Raith Rovers teammate Liam Fox – two years his junior – who is embarking on his first managerial role at Central Park.
Despite leaving the club, McGurn will be honoured for his service to Rovers with a testimonial next year, it has been announced.
