East Fife are eyeing a move for former Hearts and Kilmarnock man Scott Robinson as they prepare for life in League One.
Bayview boss Gary Naysmith is desperate to bolster his midfield options following their successful promotion last term and has invited the 24-year-old to train with the club this week.
Robinson is a free agent after being released by Fife rivals Dunfermline last month, ending an uninspiring spell at East End Park which saw him make two appearances at the tail end of the campaign.
Nevertheless, the signing would be a coup for East Fife, with the midfielder boasting more than 100 top-flight outings during his stints at Hearts and Killie.
He also became the SPL’s youngest ever player when he debuted for the Jambos at the age of 16 in 2008.
Former Livingston youngster Kieran Gibbons, who hit the headlines with a hefty challenge on Rangers’ Nathan Oduwa last season, is also on East Fife’s radar after ending last season on loan with Cowdenbeath.
