Dunfermline striker Michael Moffat admits he is delighted to remain part of the best dressing room he has been involved in after signing a new one-year deal at the Pars.
The 31-year-old scored 15 goals in 43 appearances for Allan Johnstone’s side as the Fife outfit clinched the League One title last term.
Moffat said: “I always said that I’d like to stay, especially with the season we had.
“My first option was to stay and I’m delighted to get it sorted in the end.
“I had a few options elsewhere but I was delighted to sign and the manager said he was keen on it happening.
“It was a great bunch of boys last season, it’s the best dressing room I’ve been involved in and I think it showed.
“We were just as good off the park, it’s a close-knit bunch and I’m delighted a lot of them have signed up.”
Ayr United
Ayr United goalkeeper Greg Fleming has penned a new two-year deal with the Championship newcomers.
The experienced shot-stopper played in all of the Honest Men’s 45 matches last season as they gained promotion through the play-offs.
The 29-year-old was the hero in the play-off final shoot-out victory over Stranrear after saving three penalties.
Fleming said: “I am delighted to sign a new deal, especially a two-year deal with the club.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and the reception I have had from the fans has been fantastic.
“The Championship is going to be a great league next season and we are all looking forward to going to a lot of different grounds and upping our game.”
Manager Ian McCall said: “Greg played in every single match for us throughout the season and was a hugely important player. It’s easy to look at the penalties and remember him for that, however he showed his class right throughout the year.”
Dumbarton
Dumbarton manager Stevie Aitken has re-signed Frazer Wright, Grant Gallagher and Garry Fleming on one-year contracts.
Aitken has also raided former club Stranraer to land defender Craig Pettigrew on a 12-month deal.
