Rangers have released Canadian youngster Luca Gasparotto as they prepare for life in the Premiership.
The 21-year-old has impressed this season during a loan stint with Morton, making 25 appearances for the Cappielow men as they comfortably retained their Championship status.
Gasparotto, who joined the Gers in 2011 and subsequently made two senior appearances for the club, also enjoyed loan spells with Airdrie and Stirling Albion.
However, the Canada under-23 internationalist will not be given the opportunity to nail down a first-team berth with Rangers after announcing his departure.
Gasparotto wrote: “I’m sad to say that I will not be staying on at Rangers next year. I would like to thank everyone at the club for the past five years, it’s been incredible.
“I’m glad I got to be part of the journey through the leagues and it’s great to see the team back where they belong. I would like to wish the club and the fans all the best for the coming years.”
