Scotland striker Ross McCormack has lost out to Burnley striker Andre Gray for the English Championship Player of the Year award.
The 23-goal Fulham forward had been nominated for the prize alongside Gray and Brentford midfielder Alan Judge.
The winner was decided following a vote by the league’s managers and Gray, who has scored 24 goals this term, was honoured at Sunday’s Football League Award Ceremony.
Speaking about his nomination, McCormack, who earned a recall to the Scotland team for the victory over the Czech Republic last month, said: “Many thanks to all the fans for supporting me and the rest of the team through thick and thin this year.”
