Hibs head coach Alan Stubbs is hoping Dylan McGeouch and Danny Carmichael will be available for the team’s Premiership play-off charge next month.
Dynamic midfielder McGeouch, who has been plagued by a troublesome groin injury for most of the season and has not featured since the 1-1 Scottish Cup draw at home to Inverness on February 6, is making progress in his recovery programme.
Pacey winger Carmichael has been beset by a similar problem but returned to light training on Monday after a scan showed nothing untoward.
Stubbs said: “I’m tempted to rush Dylan back but I won’t because we’ve still got a long way to go.
“He is very close to stepping up his programme. He’s a very important player for us but one player doesn’t make a team.
“He’s hopefully only now maybe a few weeks away. The sooner we get him back the better but we won’t rush him back.
“The scan came back all clear for Danny. He was out on grass on Monday for first time and we’ll look to step that up each day.
“If we don’t get any reaction or set-backs then he could be back very soon. Probably similar to Dylan actually.”
