Former Celtic winger Aiden McGeady has vowed his best is yet to come after bagging his first goal for Sheffield Wednesday.
The 29-year-old, who is on loan from Everton for the rest of the season, has endured an underwhelming start to life with the Hillsborough outfit.
However, he burst into life last weekend with a man of the match display and maiden goal for the club during a comprehensive 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest.
After playing just three club games in a year prior to his switch to Wednesday last month, McGeady believes he is finding his feet again.
The former Hoops favourite said: “The Forest performance was my best for the club but that comes with playing games. I had been out for almost a year and I was always going to go through a patch like I have where things don’t quite go for you.
“But I’ve got far more to give to this team and plenty of time to do it. It was a great feeling. Personally I think I needed that.”
He told Wednesday’s official club website: “It’s been a bit stop-start for me but I want to get back playing and show what I can do and really kick on.”
